Game length by number of players 🏖️

Experience from past seasons shows that once the grass season wraps up and EBUCC gets closer, more people show up on the sand. September and October can therefore be busier than usual.

So that the length of each game doesn't have to be decided from scratch every week, the pitch is booked according to a fixed schema. The numbers mean players who signed up in the WhatsApp event — not people who simply show up.

• •10–20 players → 18:00–19:30 (as usual)
• •21–26 players → 18:00–20:00 (or 17:30–19:30, depending on availability)
• •27–32 players → 18:00–20:30 (or 17:30–20:00)
• •33+ players → 18:00–21:00 (or 17:30–20:30)
• •fewer than 10 players → the game is cancelled

Why: the game is 5-a-side, so 10 people are on the pitch at a time. The more people come, the less playing time each of them gets. A longer booking evens that out, and the price per person stays similar, because the bill is split among more people.

The booking is decided by the number of "Going" responses in the WhatsApp event. Please respond on Monday, so the pitch can be booked on Tuesday. 🙏

Any change of time is announced in the WhatsApp group.

If a trend appears — for example 21+ players two sessions in a row — two hours are booked upfront, without waiting for the responses.
